What is Ignite Fitness?
ABOUT IT!
Ignite Fitness is an “information exchange” for fostering and inspiring fitness and wellness professionals in our industry. In one short session, hear 10 speakers from various fields – exercise scientists and nutrition experts to fitness programmers and health promoters – share their passionate stories about fitness. Presentations will educate and inspire (and may even give you a workout in the process).
THE PRESENTATIONS
Up to 20 slides and 5 minutes is all presenters get. Not a second more. The presenters need to get to the point quickly, and make it exciting and engaging.
We realize that fitness and wellness professionals have A LOT of great information – personal journeys, professional triumphs, progressive knowledge – all of which can help our industry’s collective intelligence when shared in a public forum. Sometimes a 1-2 hour session can be exhausting and overwhelming. Sometimes, a five-minute “bang” is what we all need to recharge our spirit and get us thinking in new ways.
We welcome topics about anything that you think other professionals in the health and fitness field will find interesting. We understand this puts no limitations on ideas (but, you know what, we’re fine with that!) The vibe of Ignite Fitness is based on what you submit and the theme can change from session to session, conference to conference.
We do have a few limitations, though. So, please check out our rules and guidelines or watch a demo presentation.
THE VENUE
Ignite Fitness is held as a session at a health and fitness conference or event. This year, the first Ignite Fitness session will premiere during the 26th Annual IDEA Health & Fitness World Convention in Los Angeles, CA from August 4-8, 2010.
